Classic example of bump steer. The control arms and the steering linkage pivot in different arcs, causing the wheels to steer themselves as the suspension cycles.

Ah man, I remember riding in one these old Vics when I was a kid. My parents had one. Comfortable as hell. Kept it until Dad got tired of paying $700 everytime it went to the shop for anything. Usually electrical failures.
